Year 2 have been practising reading to each other and to anyone who will listen! We thought it was going to be so easy at first but then we thought about how to make ourselves better after to listening to our first stories.

1. Make sure you know all the words before you start.

2. Try to do some actions and use different voices for people to make it more interesting.

3. Make your voice sound interested. Emphasise some words and phrases…And then…..

4. Tell your listeners the name of the story.

We read some fairytales to Foundation Class and they really enjoyed it! Miss Payne said we were very good and she was impressed. One of us read to the whole of Foundation, just like the teacher!

We also enjoyed the older children coming to read to us. We watched them to see if they knew our secret success rules!

Look out for our story recordings coming up next week. We have learned how to use AudioBoom so that we can record each other.
