We have started rehearsing some lovely songs for our Christmas concert and it is going really well!
Year 2, well done for trying hard with our practice of “Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer” on percussion instruments! For those of you who are playing a xylophone or a glockenspiel, it might not be easy to practise at home without instruments, but if you would like to go over the song and sing your part instead of playing it, here are the lyrics:
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixon,
Comet and Cupid and Donnar and Blitzen,
but do you recall
the most famous reindeer of all?
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer [Adina]
had a very shiny nose [Hiba]
and if you ever saw him, [Chris]
you would even say it glows. [Aisha]
All of the other reindeer [Adina]
used to laugh and call him names. [Hiba]
They never let poor Rudolph [Chris]
join in any reindeer games. [Aisha]
Then one foggy Christmas Eve [Nivas]
Santa came to say: [Jack]
“Rudolph with your nose so bright, [Peyton]
won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?” [Charlie]
Then all the reindeer loved him [Adina]
as they shouted out with glee, [Hiba]
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, [Chris]
you’ll go down in history! [Aisha]
Here’s a challenge: can you try the whole song together with someone else and never miss your turn?
